Car scales for measuring the weight of an axle are a metal platform in which load cells are built. Weighing takes place when the axles of the car are alternately mounted on the weighing platforms, which allows cars with any number of axles to be weighed. The scales can be installed in a pit at the level of access roads (mortise design), or on a flat concrete base with ramps for entry.
